Guidelines for safeguarding and empowering children
In response to children’s rights being disrespected in court proceedings and to the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on their protection, the WAVE – Women Against Violence Europe network launched the “Safeguarding and Empowering Children” project in 2022.
The organizations involved in this project, apart from Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb, are: the Central Information Office of Autonomous Women’s Shelters (ZIF) from Germany, the Women For Women Together Against Violence Association (NANE) from Hungary, and the Women’s Rights Foundation (WRF) from Malta.
WAVE and the project’s member organizations developped “Guidelines for Safeguarding and Empowering Children”, a document containing a comprehensive framework for child protection intended for a comprehensive child safeguarding framework for women’s specialist services.
