The STOP Violence Against Women campaign was conducted from November 25 to December 14, 2021, starting on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and concluding on the 31st anniversary of the Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb.
The campaign aimed to reach women who have survived male violence and need support by informing them about their rights—for themselves and their children—and, if necessary, providing shelter at the AŽKZ Safe House or free psychological and legal counselling. It also sought to raise public and political awareness of male violence against women and advocate for urgent improvements in laws to better protect women and children.
As part of the STOP Violence Against Women campaign, AŽKZ appeared 220 times in the media across nine online portals that supported the campaign through web banners and PR articles. Campaign messages were also shared daily on AŽKZ’s social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) throughout its duration.
