IKEA – Not Every Home is a Safe Place
As part of this campaign, IKEA donated 268,699.76 HRK in products and cash to support women and children survivors of violence. With this donation, the Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb was able to replace worn-out furniture, household appliances, and children’s toys in the Shelter, improve the working environment in the Counselling Centre and offices, and equip a safe house on the island of Brač.
During the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, IKEA also promoted the hotline of the Women’s Counselling Centre of AŽKZ, where survivors of violence can seek help.
On November 27, 2020, an AŽKZ representative participated in an international online panel for IKEA employees from Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, and Ukraine on the topic of domestic violence.
