The Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb (AŽKZ), in collaboration with City Centre One, successfully carried out the humanitarian campaign #ŽelimSveMoguSve (I Want Everything, I Can Do Anything), raising funds for the reconstruction of the Counselling Centre for women survivors of domestic violence, which was severely damaged in the devastating Zagreb earthquake.
The campaign took place from November 13 to 15 in the City Centre One East and West shopping malls, where T-shirts and hoodies with powerful messages of support for women were sold. All proceeds from the sales were dedicated to the Counselling Centre’s renovation, with an additional donation of 40,000 HRK from City Centre One.
Special support for the campaign came from Kristina Ivanuš, the campaign’s ambassador, recipient of the Hermann Gmeiner Award, and an inspiration to many for her courage and perseverance. Kristina participated in the promotional campaign, wearing the T-shirts and hoodies available for purchase.
The need for support for women experiencing violence increased significantly during the pandemic, with the holiday season bringing an even higher risk. At the same time, one of the oldest counselling centres for women and children in Croatia was severely affected by the earthquake and required urgent repairs.
