Campaign “They call them names. You call 060 9004.”
In addition to raising public awareness about the issue of violence against women, the campaign also aimed to collect additional financial support for the Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb (AWHZ), which, after 20 years of work, was at risk of closing. Funds to support AWHZ were raised through a dedicated phone line (060 9004) from September to November 2010. A total of 42,066.00 kuna was collected through the phone line.
Support for preserving the shelter for women survivors of violence could also be provided by purchasing a necklace, bracelet, or ring specially designed as part of Avon’s global campaign against violence against women. All proceeds from the sale of these products—available through the Avon catalog and during the project event on September 25—were donated to AŽKZ.
For the campaign, the agency ZOO – Zone of Original Advertising created the campaign’s visual identity and designed the TV commercial, posters, leaflets, as well as the central event held on September 25 in Bogovićeva Street in the center of Zagreb.
