Campaign: “1 Like – 1 Vote Against Violence Against Women”

The threat of our shelter for abused women being shut down inspired some of the biggest names on the Croatian music scene to use their talents to help raise funds for the Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb. Their initiative was joined by Tportal, which encouraged its fans to support the cause through direct donations, and also contributed generously with a donation of 100,000.00 kuna.

The greatest divas of the Croatian music scene—Gabi Novak, Vanna, and Tamara Obrovac—performed the emotional lyrics of a new song “Ako ima nekog iznad nas” (“If There Is Someone Above Us”), written by renowned Croatian musician and composer Bruno Kovačić, dedicated to women who have experienced abuse. The author permanently waived all copyright fees for the release of the song in favor of the Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb.

A music video for the song was also produced entirely on a voluntary basis. Actors Judita Franković and Marko Cindrić contributed their acting talent to the video, which was directed by Kristijan Milić and Aleksandar Aco Črček.
